Smooth jazz, rolling over you like a warm blanket, teasing and enticing, with a sparkle in its eye and a smile on its lips. Eclectic jazz with the promise of the possible and the dancing expansion of what sound could mean. Dare to step outside your comfort zone.
Artistic Director Kurt Ala-Kantti has led Tone Cluster—quite a queer choir into the realms of outer space jazz, with special guests from Ottawa’s Rakestar Arkestra, and into the uplifting sound of traditional jazz standards as well.
This is a concert where the music follows you home, with a song on your lips. This is a concert you won’t want to miss!
To celebrate expression in many forms, consider staying after the music for a special art show and sale presented by Studio 507. This studio provides a fully equipped space and volunteer mentors for those who wish to make art but can’t afford paint, brushes and canvasses.
