A Word from TC’s President

In News by David Fowler

Welcome to Tone Cluster’s 21st Season. We’re 21 years old but instead of welcoming a world of self indulgence, lost weekends and wild spring breaks, our music director Kurt Ala-Kantti has planned a fantastic lineup of entertaining concerts for TC with lots of variety and excellent music. A season of 3 concerts, a major fundraiser, and a bunch of community and guest appearances. Here is some of what we have planned:

  •  Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 7:30 pm – Quite a Queer Qhristmas –  Tone Cluster partners with two local LGBTQ choirs (CGOGMC and In Harmony) and musicians to perform a concert of traditional holiday favourites some with a non-traditional twist.
  •  Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 7:30 pm – words.3 – Celebrate Diversity – with guest director Scott Leithead and guest choirs from Glebe Collegiate and Canterbury High School. Using the power of music, we celebrate diversity and promote a message of support and inclusiveness.
  • Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 3:00 pm – nonSense and inSensibility – An entertaining light-hearted concert of playful, silly and moving pieces by Canadian and international composers.
  • Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 8:00 pm – Show Tune Showdown, the eighth edition of Tone Cluster’s annual fundraising event will be held at the Centrepointe Theatre. Don’t miss this unique Broadway-themed night of musical theatre—a friendly competition between three teams in front of three judges but the real winner is the audience.
